Could Your Child Benefit From Vision Therapy?
Is your child not reading at grade level?
Is your child not reaching their potential in school?
Feel like you are missing a puzzle piece on why your child is behaving a certain way?
Undetected visual problems may be keeping your child behind.
What is Vision Therapy?
Optometric vision therapy teaches your brain to better communicate with your eyes to more efficiently navigate your world. 20/20 vision is only ONE of over a dozen important visual skills required to function efficiently to perform well in school or sports.
Children with reduced vision skills have to work harder than their peers, yet are unable to achieve the results they seek. Their poor visual skills may also cause them to struggle to concentrate throughout the day. Learn more about vision problems that interfere with learning.
Optometric vision therapy is a program of progressive visual procedures, individualized to fit the needs and goals of each patient, and performed one-on-one with the doctor or doctor-supervised vision therapist. It is usually conducted once or twice weekly with supplemental home support activities between office visits.

- Blurred or double vision when reading

Help Your Child Reach Their Potential With Vision Therapy
At Brighter Outlook Vision, we use a holistic approach to vision care. Unlike the usual eye exam, we test the entire visual system to check that it has the developmental maturity, strength, and stamina to function optimally throughout the visual tasks performed on a daily basis.
Once we identify any vulnerable areas in the vision process that could interfere with reading and learning, we develop an individualized vision therapy regimen designed to improve under-performing visual functions and retrain the brain to interpret visual input more accurately and efficiently.
Contact Brighter Outlook Vision today to schedule an evaluation, or visit us with your concerns regarding your child’s vision, and we’ll be sure to find the best way to treat their visual problems.
Dr. Willingham was moved to practice vision therapy specifically because he was amazed by its ability to help improve people’s lives who were suffering from visual problems, and he wanted to help fix the root of the problem. He himself suffered from a visual issue growing up and wishes he had had access to vision therapy as a child so that school wasn’t such a struggle.
